The Tampa Bay Lightning had a rough night on Thursday, as they suffered a big injury blow to one of their newest acquisitions right before the postseason.
Nasty Looking Injury
The Lightning were visiting the New York Islanders, and during the second period, recently acquired Tanner Jeannot suffered what looked like a gruesome injury. Check it out below:
Not only did Tampa lose Jeannot for the rest of last night's game, but head coach Jon Cooper shared that the forward's injury is ''worrisome'' at this point.
And as Chris Johnston of TSN reported, Jeannot wasn't the only significant injury for the three-time Eastern Conference champions, as they're starting to pile up at the wrong time.
''The injuries are piling up for #TBLightning, with Anthony Cirelli, Brandon Hagel, Tanner Jeannot, Pat Maroon and Erik Cernak all currently on the sidelines.''
Will this finally be the year that the Toronto Maple Leafs win a playoff series?
