It Was Just Confirmed For Team USA's Charlie McAvoy Ahead Of Four Nations Championship Game Vs Team Canada

It was just confirmed for Boston Bruins, and Team USA's defenseman Charlie McAvoy ahead of their championship game and rematch against Team Canada at the Four Nations Face-off.

Team Canada went on to beat Team Finland in a do-or-die game that would end up clinching their ticket to get a rematch against Team USA at the Four Nations Face-off finals on Thursday.

Although, Team USA may be forced to play without one of their top defenseman as Charlie McAvoy was admitted to the hospital last night and his status for the big game is unclear as he is dealing with an upper-body injury.

Along with Charlie McAvoy's injury, USA head coach Mike Sullivan revealed that both Auston Matthews and the Tkachuk brothers were dealing with injuries as well.

McAvoy's situation seems a bit worse as he was admitted to the hospital last night, and it raised a lot of concerns for fans as he may not be able to play in the 4 Nations finals, or the rest of the NHL season.

Fans were expecting some terrible news regarding McAvoy, but the latest update has revealed it's not as bad as many think.

NHL insider Frank Seravalli revealed the update everyone has been waiting for on Boston Bruins and Team USA's defenseman Charlie McAvoy.

Seravalli revealed that Charlie McAvoy is dealing with an infection that stemmed from an injury he suffered.

He also revealed that there is no long-term concern, and that it's unclear if he'll be able to play in the finals or not but he hasn't been ruled out.

Thankfully it's nothing serious, but hopefully McAvoy will be good to go to represent his country in the Finals on Thursday.
