A scary scene had surfaced not long after puck drop in the Philadelphia Flyers, and Vancouver Canucks game. During the first period, Tyler Myers former teammate of Nikita Zadorov, and Elias Lindholm, went to hit Flyers forward Joel Farabee, which ended up resulting in a awkward collision close to the boards, and right away it was obvious that Tyler Myers went down awkwardly.
The officials and his teammates knew something was wrong after multiple seconds had passed, and Myers was not getting up, and play was then blown daed. Myers laid there holding his knee for awhile staying motionless on the ice.
During the replay you can see Tyler Myers leg bend in an unusual way, as his leg locks and he twists his knee, which seems to be where the injury took place.
Myers was unable to leave the ice on his own and required help as he wasn't able to put any weight on his leg.
Here is the video of the awkward fall:
This is a big blow for the Vancouver Canucks, especially after losing Nikita Zadorov in the off-season, Myers was set to take a bigger role with the Vancouver Canucks, not only that but the Canucks also healthy scratched Vincent Desharnais who was just signed to a two-year $4 million contract in the off-season.
There isn't a high chance that there will be an update on the Canucks defenseman tonight, as he will have to evaluated by the teams staff, but if there is an update stay tuned, and we will inform you!
