A major development was made today regarding Boston Bruins young forward Matthew Poitras, and the possibility of him returning to the NHL roster tomorrow.

Matthew Poitras did not have the start to the 2024-25 NHL regular season he had hoped, after going down with an injury during the 2023-24 season and having to get shoulder surgery that would cut his season short, he was prepared to go into this season healthy.

Unfortunately that wasn't the case for the 20-year-old as he was injured towards the end of preseason, and has missed the Boston Bruins first two games of the year.

A major development was made today though, as Matthew Poitras took rushes with the Boston Bruins main group along side Trent Frederic, and Justin Brazeau.

Bruins lines at practice today:

Matt Poitras is very close to returning per Jim Montgomery. Roster move will be needed
