The 2021-22 regular season is one to remember.

The NHL Stats department has compiled the regular season numbers (with one single game remaining on the calendar) and the results are mind-blowing.

Not only has the campaign featured four different 50-goal scorers, but the offensive outburst was also displayed through the league's eight players who reached the 100-point pleateau.

The current regular season also featured a plethora of goal-scoring milestones that hadn't been seen in the NHL in decades!

Here are a few stats related to goal-scoring that were compiled by the NHL to highlight just how unique this season's offensive outburst truly was:

- The Florida Panthers were the regular season's highest-scoring team with 340 goals for in 82 games. By scoring as much, the Panthers became the highest-scoring team in 26 years, falling just short of the Pittsburgh Penguins' 362 goals for back in the 1995-96 campaign.

- 78% of goals scored in regulation and overtime have come at even strength, tied for the second-highest percentage in the NHL's expansion era (behind 79%, all the way back in 1972-73).

- 102 hat tricks were scored during the season, the most in 29 years (112 in 1992-93). They were scored by 84 different players, the most in 40 years and tied for second most in NHL history (86 in 1981-82 & 84 in 1980-81).

As for the Bruins themselves, their offence mostly came through the team's depth this season, with five players reaching the 20-goal mark ;

David Pastrnak - 40
Brad Marchand - 32
Jake Debrusk - 25
Patrice Bergeron - 25
Taylor Hall - 20

What a memorable season it's been!
