A 24-year old professional hockey goaltender has unfortunately passed away.

Yesterday it was announced to the hockey world that a former QMJHL goaltender Creed Jones passed away at the young age of 24.

His former team the Rimouski Oceanic made the official announcement and revealed that the cause of death was from a motorcycle accident.

Creed Jones' started off his hockey career with Wellington Dukes in 2017 in the OJHL, where he then went on to play in the QMJHL with the Gatineau Olympic, and the Saint John Sea Dogs in 2020-21.

The end of his professional career would be played with the University of Ottawa in 2021-2022, where he would then decided to hang up the skates.

Our prayers are with his friends and family as they navigate through this difficult time.
