AHL goalie pulls off odd celebration after shootout win (VIDEO)

AHL goaltender Yaraslav Askarov is trending on social media for his �'interesting'' choice of celebration after a shootout win.

It happened during a matchup between the Milwaukee Admirals and Rockford Ice Hogs on Friday night, when the Nashville Predators prospect made a game saving stop in the shootout, he proceeded to bench press the net.

Askarov, 20, selected 11th overall by the Predators in 2020, is one of the top goaltending prospects in the NHL. He currently has a 2.60 GAA and a .909 SV% in 29 AHL games this season.
