Boston has always been known as one of the greatest sports cities in North America, but this Easter weekend, they were on full display.

The city of Boston has the Red Sox of the MLB, the Celtics of the NBA, the Patriots of the NFL and of course, the Bruins of the NHL. Boston sports fans are fortunate to get to enjoy all four major North American sports all year round.

Bruins

On Saturday afternoon, the Bruins broke a three-game losing skid with a solid 60-minute effort against the Pittsburgh Penguins in a 2-1 win that officially clinched the club a 2022 postseason berth. It will be the Bruins' sixth straight playoff appearance and their 16th since the year 2000; they won the Stanley Cup in 2011.

Red Sox

The Red Sox were victorious over the Minnesota Twins on Saturday and Sunday, and they will look to win three of the four-game series this morning. The Red Sox will be looking for just their second straight postseason appearance after missing the playoffs for two consecutive years. The Red Sox have been dominant since 2000; although they've missed the playoffs 11 times and made 10, the club has won the World Series four times (2004, 2007, 2013, 2018).

Celtics

The Celtics played their first game of the 2022 playoffs last night, where they hosted the Brooklyn Nets. The game was an instant classic, seeing the Celtics defeat the Nets 115 to 114.

The Celtics are in the playoffs for the eighth straight year and, like other Boston teams, have had great success since the turn of the century. In 22 seasons, the club has only missed the postseason four times and has made the NBA Finals twice, winning it once in 2008.

Boston sports have been dominant in their respective sports for many years, and at this time of year, fans get to watch three of their teams battle it out.
