The Boston Bruins are gearing up for another Stanley Cup Playoff appearance and it'll likely be like deja vu.
The Bruins would play the Toronto Maple Leafs if the playoffs started today, and while it has definitely help build the original six rivalry, not many think it should be a first round matchup.
Boston has the second best record in the whole Eastern Conference and instead of facing a team that snuck into the playoffs, they'll be facing the team that's tied for the third best record in the conference and Bruins forward Brad Marchand isn't a fan.
"I don't think it's fair, not even looking at the way we've lined up the last couple years, that one would finish second and have to play a third- or fourth-place team compared to a seventh-place team. But it is what it is. It doesn't matter who you play. If you're going to win a Stanley Cup, you're going to have to get through your whole conference anyway. So, at the end of the day, you play who you play and the best team will get through."
Whatever the case maybe, fans aren't complaining too much about another Leafs-Bruins first round matchup.
