For over a decade now, Brad Marchand has been a pillar of the Boston Bruins. Over that span, he has been linemates with B's captain Patrice Bergeron.
Now, with Marchand starting the season on the injured reserve, he had some advice for newly acquired Pavel Zacha, who has been rumored to get to start the year on Bergeron's wing.
As Conor Ryan of the Boston Journal has reported, he asked Marchand what it's like being Bergeron's linemate. And he gave the most Marchand answer ever:
''Just get open. And you don't have to backcheck.
As Bruins fans know, Marchy has always been a character, and there's no doubt he was just being funny here.
Zacha was originally drafted sixth overall by the New Jersey Devils in 2015, and has 69 goals and 110 assists in 359 career games. Last season, the 25-year-old had 15 goals and 21 assists in 70 games.
