Brad Marchand has been in the NHL for a long time now and he's made a living on getting under his opponent's skin.

Due to that, Marchand has his fair share of enemies, one of them being his newest teammate, Tyler Bertuzzi. Bertuzzi was acquired from the Red Wings on Thursday morning. The two hard nosed forwards have a history, as expected, as they've butt heads in prior seasons.

More specifically, back in 2018 when the Bruins were hosting the Red Wings at TD Garden. After the two exchanged some pleasantries, it quickly turned into a full-on line brawl. Even goalies Tuukka Rask and Jimmy Howard almost got into the action.

However, hockey players are notorious for leaving that stuff on the ice. Judging by Marchand's reaction to the trade, he's moved past, and probably a long time ago.

Marchand shared the following with the media on Thursday morning:

'' Just the depth that he brings. He has a playoff style.''

'He plays very, very hard. He's skilled. He's gritty. He gets inside. He hasn't won in the NHL, but he's won a Calder Cup. I think he might've been the MVP of that. So he shows up big when it matters. He's just one of those guys you hate to play against, and come playoff time it's huge to have guys like that. The extra depth that it gives our group is incredible. He can play anywhere in the lineup. He's just one of those guys that makes it hard (for opponents) out there.''
