Brad Marchand's actions have cost not only himself but his team significantly as the NHL has announced a 6 game suspension for the forward.
According to the NHL the placement of Marchand's high stick and his punch to the head long after the whistle were both reasons for the length of the suspension. Marchand has now been suspended 8 times in his career and fined on 5 separate occasions.
