NHL Bans Patrice Bergeron From Selke Trophy.

The NHL and Gary Bettman made a huge announcement on Monday.�
In looking for parity in the NHL awards, the league has banned Patrice Bergeron from being nominated for the Frank J. Selke Trophy.�
Bergeron has of course won 4 out of the last 7 Selke trophies and will likely be nominated once again this year.�
Bettman released a statement.�
"As many can easily predict, Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron will likely be nominated for the Selke Trophy once again. In fairness to the other great defensive players in the league, we have banned Bergeron from nominations this year."�
The NHL's April Foolington released the news on Twitter.�
