The Boston Bruins 41 year old captain is gearing up for yet another NHL season, Zdeno Chara's 21st season in the league.
While a small group of Bruins' fans would like to see the team part ways with the captain, he's proven he's still in great shape with his latest workout video on Instagram.
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what fans think, what matters is what head coach Bruce Cassidy and the rest of the management group thinks. Cassidy believes that Chara's still got plenty of time in the league left.
"Zee's got a lot of hockey left in him," Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy said Tuesday on WEEI. "I know that for a fact. He trains harder than anyone I know. His conditioning is through the roof. He's trying to stay current with the game and the way it's played He wants to have his legacy run a lot longer than just one more year."
"I wouldn't put it past him to play four or five more years in this league. Again, that's speculation. We're looking forward to another great year from him. He's our leader."
Wow! Do you think Chara could play another five years in the NHL?
