Bruins goalie is using his new mask to pay tribute and raise awareness

One Bruins goaltender has used his new mask to raise awareness for an amazing cause.

Undrafted, Brandon Bussi was signed by the club as a college free agent on March 30th, 2022, out of Western Michigan University. In just 5 games at the end of the season for the Providence Bruins, Bussi collected a 3-2-0 record, a 2.54 GAA, a .920 SV% and one shutout.

Ahead of his first full season in Providence, Bussi had a new mask painted, which pays tribute to Autism awareness, and it's fantastic. Check it out below:

History of Autism and puzzle pieces:

In 1999, the Autism Society of America created the puzzle piece ribbon symbolizing autism awareness. As per the Autism Society

''The puzzle piece pattern reflects the complexity of the autism spectrum. The different colors and shapes represent the diversity of the people and families living with the condition.''

The mask was made by famous goalie mask painter David Gunnarsson or DaveArt, who is by far the most used by professional goaltenders around the world. Gunnarsson also released the video below on his Instagram:
