Steve Forni has been the Public Address announcer for the Boston Bruins for the past four years.
On Wednesday, Forni made a major announcement regarding his career with the organization.
As per Forni on Twitter:
''Thank you, Boston Bruins, for letting the kid from Agawam live out a dream come true. But I'm stepping down as PA announcer.''
'As a Father of two young ones, the drive across the state has limited the time I can spend with my family. There's no job that a man can have that's more important than being a present, loving father and I can't raise my children on the Mass Pike.''
'Now that I'm a full time teacher, my students come next. I need to be dedicated to the classroom, and I can't prep, lesson plan or assist my students on the Mass Pike.''
He continued:
'I've lived the dream. Made it to the top. Met amazing people. Honoured to have my voice ring throughout TD Garden.''
'Thanks to everyone who has supported me on this wild ride. It was truly an honor. Peace and love.''
