The Boston Bruins are off to a historic start this year, and at the quarter mark of the season, they sit first in the NHL with an 18-3-0 record.
And that is in big thanks to their number one defenseman, Charlie McAvoy. He's most known for his elite defensive skills, but so far this season, he's shown he can be skilled offensively as well.
Due to that, McAvoy was named the NHLPA's Player of the Week for November 18th to the 24th. As per the NHLPA:
''Tying the league lead in points on the week with 7 while averaging 22:44 TOI, Charlie McAvoy helped the Boston Bruins tie an NHL record with 11 straight home wins to open the season and has earned the nod as our NHLPA Player of the Week.''
