While all eyes will be on Marcus Johansson tonight as he makes his Boston Bruins debut, they'll be lots of people happy to welcome Massachusetts native Charlie Coyle to TD Garden for the first time.
Coyle made his Bruins debut on the road against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday and is excited to play in Boston for the first time.
The 26 year old is centering a line between Joakim Nordstrom and David Backes and the change from Western Conference to Eastern Conference hasn't necessarily been easy.
"Playing a new system is a little different obviously, but I had my linemates helping me out and talking a lot, which is huge," Coyle said. "I think I adjusted decently. There are some things that are different from what I'm used to, but I'll learn as we go here."
It won't get much easier for Coyle tonight as the Bruins host a San Jose team that's rolling along going 7-2-1 in their last 10 games, but Boston isn't doing too bad themselves going 8-0-2 in their last 10.
