The Boston Bruins will be without key defenseman Charlie McAvoy for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Despite being given a two minute minor for his hit on JoshAnderson, the NHL Department of Player Safety felt more discipline was required.
So they handed McAvoy a one game suspension.
McAvoy spoke to the media after practice on Wednesday regarding the suspension.
"I'm disappointed I won't be playing. I respect the process. I'm glad I was able to say my peace and was able to defend myself, but all things together I'm not a very good lawyer, I guess."
