Danielle Marmer was hired by the Boston Bruins as the club's Player Development and Scouting Assistant on Thursday.
She has been on the ice everyday this week with the Bruins' prospects for development camp.
After day four's ice time she met with media to discuss her new role with the organization:
''It is a honor to work for the Bruins regardless of gender, but I recognize the impact that it has, or that I hope it has, on young girls and women in hockey.''
