Well it came down to the wire of preseason, but general manager Don Sweeney was able to get everything that he needed to get done, done.
After signing Charlie McAvoy to a three year deal, Sweeney followed that up early this morning by signing Brandon Carlo to a new contract.
With only about $3.2million in salary cap space, Sweeney was able to squeeze Carlo in at $2.85million a season for the next two years.
The Bruins now have $25million in salary cap space for next summer which hopefully along with a possible David Backes buyout will give the team enough room to re-sign Torey Krug if need be.
What do you think of Carlo's new contract?
