Does Nathan MacKinnon go too far to motivate teammates?

As NHL fans know, Nathan MacKinnon is one of the best hockey players in the world right now and he brings intensity when he plays.
According former and current teammates, and even Sidney Crosby, the intensity follows MacKinnon off the ice as well. It's a big part of the way he shows his leadership.

Clearly, MacKinnon has a deep desire to be the best and to make everyone around him the best and it paid off this season as he and the Colorado Avalanche won the Stanley Cup.
The question is, though, does he go a little too far?
