Ducks sign former Bruins 1st rounder to 2-year deal

When the Boston Bruins acquired defenseman Hampus Lindholm at the 2022 NHL Trade Deadline, one of the pieces sent to the Anaheim Ducks was prospect Urho Vaakaneinen.
Friday, the Ducks signed the 23-year-old defenseman to a two-year extension, with an AAV of $850 K.
Vaakaneinen was drafted in the first round (18th overall) by the Bruins at the 2017 Draft. In 31 games with Boston, the Finnish native has 6 assists.
