Elliotte Friedman Just Confirmed Worrying Injury News Regarding Star Player For Team USA
During the third period of the Canada-USA game, Matthew Tkachuk was clearly injured, missing most of the period. Many believed that he was dealing with an injury, and Elliotte Friedman confirmed it.
Earlier in the day, there was speculation that Team USA's Matthew Tkachuk was dealing with a injury after missing most of the third period, and today it was confirmed by both Elliotte Friedman, and head coach Mike Sullivan.
Tkachuk missed the last half of the third period last night, but said he had no concerns about the injury. USA has already clinched a berth in Thursday's final
NHL insiders Frank Seravalli, and Elliotte Friedman both revealed that Matthew Tkachuk is going to be out with a lower-body injury for their game against Sweden on Monday night.

Tkachuk missed final 12:36 of Canada clash and left Bell Centre with noticeable limp.
They are hoping that whatever is hindering him right now will be gone before the finals happen on Thursday night.
Tkachuk tried to skate off the injury he was dealing with by skating during a TV timeout, but he signaled to the coaching staff that he wasn't good to go and that something was bothering him.
Before their matchup between Canada and USA, Matthew Tkachuk stated that he has been thinking about this game for the last nine years. With that being said, it's unlikely that he is not dealing with an injury as he was looking forward to it.
The Tkachuk brothers and J.T. Miller all exploded for three fights in the first nine seconds of the game, looking to fire up their bench, and it ended up working out as USA went on to beat Canada 3-1.
With USA clinching their spot in the finals, tomorrow will reveal who they are going to face in the finals. It will be interesting to see if there is an upset and Canada ends up getting eliminated, or they get their re-match against the USA.
