Former Bruin lands NCAA coaching job

A former member of the Boston Bruins has found a coaching job in Division 1 of the NCAA.
On Thursday, the Niagara University Purple Eagles (NU) announced they have hired Brian Gionta as Director of Player Development.
As per NU's PR:
''I am excited to join a great staff led by Jason Lammers and pass on my experiences and aid the development of current and future Purple Eagles.''

Gionta spent 16 seasons in the NHL, appearing in 1,026 games with the Devils, Canadiens, Sabres and Bruins, and registering 291 goals and 304 assists.
A brief stint (20 games) with the Bruins, ended with 2 goals and 7 assists for Gionta. He also spent four years at Boston College, recording 123 goals and 109 assists.
