With Carey Price's career likely over due to a nagging knee injury, many have wondered if it stems from an incident back in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs. You know the incident, Chris Kreider going in on a breakaway and taking out Price's knee.
Up until now, it's only been a thought, but former NHL head coach Bob Hartley just said the quiet part out loud.
''Although he'll never admit it, Chris Kreider has held Carey Price's incredible career back.''
Hartley has never been one to sugarcoat much, especially when it comes to players, however, I'm sure if that knee injury is what started the beginning of the end for Price, Kreider must feel awful.
Especially considering the character he's shown throughout his NHL career.
