Patrice Bergeron is one of the most established leaders in the NHL, and it shows by the praise shared by a recently retired defenseman.
Former NHLer and Massachusetts native Keith Yandle, who faced him several times over the last decade, sat down with NBC Sports Boston, to talk about his hockey career.
During his interview, the Bruins captain was discussed, and one comment stood out. The amount of respect shown by one of Bergeron's long-time opponents speaks volumes about the type of player he's always been.
'He's made everyone better that he plays with.''
Yandle made a good point about how the Bruins captain is still playing much younger than 37 years old. Bergeron is the perfect example of what it takes to stay in the league so long and be effective.
