The Boston Bruins were at home Monday night against the Florida Panthers for the first half of a back-to-back as they travel to play the Ottawa Senators Tuesday.

Jake Debrusk, who was celebrating his 26th birthday, got the Bruins started early as he opened the scoring 21 seconds into the game. He added on with a beautiful setup for Patrice Bergeron's goal late in the second and also an empty netter to seal the deal, as the Bruins came away with a 5-3 win.

David Pastrnak put in an early bid for ''Goal of the Year'' early in the third to put the Bruins up 3-1.

Boston now improves to 3-0-0 on the new season.
