Hockey Player Arrested During Game For Terrible Act
In an unexpected turn of events during an NAHL matchup between the New Hampshire Mountain Kings and the Johnstown Tomahawks, 20-year-old defenseman Yahor Ramanau found himself in the spotlight for an entirely different reason. The Belarusian native was arrested during the first intermission of the game, leaving both fans and players surprised.
Ramanau's arrest was related to an outstanding warrant issued two years ago, stemming from a charge of aggravated assault by vehicle. The sudden arrest raised questions about how an active player participating in a game could be apprehended on such a warrant.
The NAHL and legal authorities have yet to provide further details regarding the circumstances surrounding Ramanau's arrest and the timing of the warrant's execution.
