Free Agency is one of the craziest times of the NHL season and there's no drama missing from 2022's addition.

General managers aren't allowed to talk to free agents until after the NHL Entry Draft.

That gave both parties only six days to talk terms of possible contracts. However, just like every year, several players sign contracts as soon as free agency opens.

Which brings up the controversial topic of team's tampering, which is illegal negotiations between teams and upcoming free agents from other clubs.

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported that he wouldn't be surprised to see some cases filed this summer:

''I think we're going to see some tampering accusations. What I'm curious about is does this become anything actionable, does the league go after this? I got told on Wed. night after I got done work, look out, there's going to be accusations here.''
