Why doesn't the sporting world talk about guys like Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, Auston Matthews or Connor McDavid the way they do about Tom Brady or LeBron James or Christiano Rinaldo?
Besides Crosby, younger guys like MacKinnon, Matthews and McDavid don't have the team success that Tom Brady or LeBron James do, but the way the three have taken the NHL by storm should not go unnoticed. However, if you go outside the hockey world, nobody knows just how good of athletes these young players are.
Auston Matthews had a historic regular-season scoring 60 goals, while Nathan MacKinnon and Connor McDavid are ripping it up in the playoffs and only people who follow hockey know about it. McDavid is quite literally having the best postseasons of the modern era, and I don't think it's being talked about enough.
