The NHL revealed a significant change recently, announcing that Fanatics will become its jersey providers starting in 2024, however, apparently one major company wanted nothing to do with it.

Although the league had other potential uniform manufacturers to choose from, one of the world's leading brands, Nike, opted not to bid for the jersey rights.

Staying Away from Hockey Entirely

Sources claim that Nike is attempting to distance itself from hockey, and it declined to place a bid for the NHL's jersey rights for 2024. Presently, Nike serves as the official uniform supplier for the MLB and NBA.

The appearance of the new Fanatics-produced uniforms remains uncertain. However, on Tuesday, Fanatics announced that they would continue using the same Quebec-based facility where Adidas previously manufactured the NHL uniforms.

Additionally, they stated that there would likely be no significant design changes for teams during the first three years of the agreement.
