Brad Marchand is one of those NHL players that you love to have on your team but hate when he's the opponent.

As one of the most polarizing figures in the league, Marchand has earned such nicknames as 'pest'' or 'rat'' and he wouldn't want it any other way.

With the Bruins set to host the Penguins for the Winter Classic at Fenway Park, the veteran sat down with Matt Porter of the Boston Globe, and was asked about playing baseball as a child.

Apparently, Marchand's antagonizing ways started when he was a pitcher as a child:

I had a fastball. I'd throw it as hard as I could. Spray and pray. I hit a lot of kids. Might have been on purpose. Might not.

Marchand missed the first chance to play at Fenway Park back in 2010, as he wasn't yet an NHL regular, and was in AHL after suffering an early season injury.

This new story about the Bruins all-star winger comes as absolutely no surprise!
