McAvoy Comments On Life Without Zdeno Chara.

The Boston Bruins open training camp and a new season with a totally different blueline.�

Zdeno Chara and Torey Krug are out and 23 year old Charlie McAvoy looks like the new leader of the defensive group.�

McAvoy has been given time to get used to the NHL and now he'll have his plate full as the team's #1 defenseman.�

After his first practice without Chara, it's clear that it's going to take some getting used to.�

"It's different not having Zee around...it's different. His presence obviously speaks for itself and it was definitely different."

"He's meant the world to me."

McAvoy also revealed that he sent Chara a text message today to wish him the best in Washington.�

The B's new blueline leader didn't forget Krug either who's starting his season with the St. Louis Blues.�

"So many things I've tried to pull from his game...he meant so much to our team."
