Connor McDavid's rise to the top of the league happened so quickly.

Because he's been dominant for pretty much his entire career, people often forget that the world's greatest player turned 25 years old just three months ago.

The Edmonton Oilers forward has been in the NHL for seven seasons now and he's racked up 100 points or more in five of them, finishing another campaign with 97 points as well.

But regardless of all the personal accolades, records and milestones, McDavid has yet to win the biggest trophy of them all: the Stanley Cup! With the Oilers clinching a playoff berth last night however, the dream is one step close to becoming a reality for the Oilers captain.

Should McDavid lead Edmonton to a Cup win this season, he would become just the 10th player in NHL history to win a Stanley Cup, a Hart Trophy and an Art Ross Trophy before turning 26 years old.

Only certain star players have managed that feat in the past, and McDavid is dying to add his name to the prestigious list that features Bruins legend and McDavid's current agent, Bobby Orr.

With everything the speedy forward has accomplished in his career so far, his exploits no longer come as a surprise.

After all, McDavid has already shattered many of Bobby Orr's and other legendary players' records thanks to his solid point production year in and year out.
