Does Charlie Coyle have the most famous grandmother in the NHL?
Coyle's grandma, Mary Kelly, first became known after an interview while he was still a member of the Minnesota Wild.
Nana Kelly, as Charlie calls her, Mary Kelly, now in her 90s, can be seen and heard cheering the Bruins on every game. She also has a special way of celebrating a Boston goal.
''Everyone kind of knows about my grandma, she's got the cowbell.''
''She's either with my family, my mom, or my aunts, watching every game.''
- Charlie Coyle
Charlie and his longtime girlfriend, Danielle, tied the knot at the beginning of August, and Grandma Coyle made sure to bust out the famous cowbell on the dance floor.
FUN FACT: Grandma Coyle is tough as nails; she went skydiving for her 80th birthday, something Charlie couldn't even bring himself to do.
