You would never guess that the Boston Bruins' powerplay went into a 0 for 36 slump just a few weeks ago, but it's clear that David Pastrnak is what was missing from the man advantage.
The Bruins scored two powerplay goals in a 4-2 game three win against the Carolina Hurricanes. Pastrnak scored one of them and had an assist on the other.
The assist was on Taylor Hall's powerplay goal that made the game 4-1 for the Bruins 4:08 into the third period. The beautiful give-and-go goal gave Boston some much-needed insurance near the end of the game.
Watch the beautiful passing play here:
Carolina had the number one penalty kill in the NHL in the regular season at 88%. If the Bruins' powerplay can keep it going, they may have a chance in the best-of-seven series against a strong Hurricanes team.
