Being one of the most skilled players in the NHL is one thing, but being a valuable leader in the dressing room makes those players even greater.

As we all know, David Pastrnak knows how to put up the points on the ice, but as head coach Jim Montgomery shared, the forward does a lot more than that for Boston.

When meeting with the media, the Bruins bench boss noted how Pastrnak is the ''ultimate'' teammate, for the lack of a better term.

As per Montgomery:

''I had heard how wonderful a teammate he is through discussions you hear throughout the league.''

''One thing that was apparent to me right away when I got here was sitting down with the staff, and [Chris Kelly] said he thought Pasta was the most connected to everybody in the locker room, to speak about his leadership.''

''Whether it's young guys or old guys, he has a bond with everybody.''

Already a 'part time'' assistant captain, Pastrnak will most likely be part of the Bruins core for the rest of career after signing his eight-year, $90 million extension.

Pasta leads by example on the ice, too, as he's currently second in the NHL in goals (44) and fourth in points (84) through 62 games.
