After Massachusetts teenager Jake Thibeault was partially paralyzed in a hockey injury nine months ago, his main goal was to walk across the stage at high school graduation.
He achieved that goal this past Friday when he and his classmates graduated from Milton Academy.
Thibeault broke two vertebrae in his back and suffered a small brain bleed after a collision during a junior hockey tournament held over Labor Day weekend of 2021.
He also was one of several students to receive the Head of School Award' for 'demonstrating qualities such as self-sacrifice, community concern and leadership.''
