Since he left, all Bruins fans wanted was a David Krejci reunion in Boston. And after this summer, it sounds like they have current winger David Pastrnak to thank for the one-year deal the long-time Bruin signed in August.

It started at the IIHF World Championships in Finland, where Pasta and Krejci highlighted Czechia's top line, all the way to a bronze medal win. The chemistry they formed while teammates in Boston was evident right from the start:

During his media coverage after the Bruins' first practice on Friday, Pastrnak confirmed the reports that he had a hand in recruiting Krejci back to the Black and Gold. When asked if it was a 'tough sell'' to convince him:

''A couple apples at Worlds, passing him a couple empty-netters. Let him win at cards. Grab a couple of beers in Czech and he's back. Obviously been talking a lot, and I can't wait to have him back and get things going.''

And what about that selfie with #46 that blew up among Bruins fans on social media:

I wonder if the two already knew that Krejci was coming back to Boston when filming the video? I guess we'll never know!
