Boston Bruins forward Jake Debrusk requested a trade from the team in November of 2021 after he was a healthy scratch for a game against the Vancouver Canucks.

DeBrusk broke out in 2022 when he was put on a line with Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron to finish the season with 25 goals and 17 assists in 77 games played.

The 25-year-old signed a two-year, $8 million contract with the Bruins on March 21st, 2022 (Trade Deadline).

It's unclear if DeBrusk's trade request still stands, but as per BlackNGold Podcast' writer Mike Sullivan, there are some potential destinations for the young forward.

''It's widely believed that he wanted to be closer to his home in Western Canada. More specifically, Edmonton, Alberta.

When the news broke, it wasn't entirely shocking as he seemed to be in Bruce Cassidy's doghouse. He consistently found himself playing in a third-line role when he believed he was more of a top-six forward.''

Sullivan listed the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks and Winnipeg Jets as possible destinations.
