The Boston Bruins and general manager DonSweeney still need to get Charlie McAvoy and Brandon Carlo under contract but are busy trying to add some other players.
We've heard they offered Alex Petrovic a PTO which he has yet to sign and now it seems they might be negotiating with a depth forward.
According to Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now, the Bruins have had talks recently with free agent forward Brian Boyle.
On the ice Boyle brings exactly what the Bruins need in the playoffs and would fit in the locker room as well, however it's really hard to figure out how he would fit in on the salary cap.
The Bruins would have to pull off some sort of major trade because they already need to make a move to free up cap space for McAvoy and Carlo.
