The Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney aren't scared to pull off a big move if they really believe in it.

They've added parts throughout the years and moved picks because they always believe they've got a chance at another Stanley Cup.

However it seems they won't be looking to land this offseason's big prize.

According to Fluto Shinzawa of the Athletic, while the Bruins would love to add JackEichel to their lineup they're not willing to roll the dice based on his salary, lack of playoff success and health issues.

"The Bruins have a need for Eichel. They need a top-line center to succeed Krejci and Bergeron, both 35. The North Chelmsford native could thrive in his home market. It would do the 24-year-old well to learn under Bergeron for at least one season. The ex-Boston University Terrier would join Matt Grzelcyk, his former college teammate.

But Eichel was sidelined with a serious neck injury. Player and organization disagreed on his treatment. His next playoff appearance will be his first.

Projection: The Bruins pass because of the uncertainty of Eichel's health. A $10 million player has to be a sure thing."

Do you think Eichel would have been a good fit for the Bruins?
