The Boston Bruins missed out on a Blake Coleman trade last night to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
According to multiple reports the Bruins were in it until the end however the New Jersey Devils decided on the Lightning offer which included a first round pick and defensive prospect NolanFoote.
While the Bruins miss out on Coleman, the team strengthens their efforts to land Boston College product Chris Kreider of the New YorkRangers.
Rick Carpiniello, a New York Rangers insider for The Athletic, reports that the Bruins are one of the likely landing spots for Kreider.
Carpiniello reports that the Bruins aren't willing to trade prospects JackStudnicka or John Beecher but could move some combination of Danton Heinen, Anders Bjork, Jake DeBrusk and Oskar Steen.
He mentions the Bruins' first round pick could be in play but it will take a lot of work to get it from general manager DonSweeney and the Bruins.
