REPORT: Zdeno Chara not closing the door on future with the Bruins
Will Zdeno Chara be a part of the Boston Bruins' management in the near future?
As Dominic Tiano of the Black N' Gold Hockey Podcast, Chara definitely isn't closing the door on a potential future with the team. Below is a quote from Chara via Tiano:
''Who knows? Maybe I'll join the team soon, maybe not. We will see. I can't really tell you that it's something that, right now, it's my goal to be joining management or the team in any capacity. Maybe in the future I will. Who knows?''
''Big Zee'' was captain for all 14 seasons he was in Boston, and he retired as one of the most iconic players to wear the Spoked B. The defenseman played 25 years in the NHL and has seen firsthand how much the game has changed and where it's going.
No doubt that Chara would be an excellent fit for a front-office job in the NHL. Just like how other former players Steve Yzerman and Joe Sakic have turned into two of the best GMs in the league.
