The Boston Bruins welcomed former head coach Bruce Cassidy with a video tribute Monday night.
Now with the Vegas Golden Knights, Cassidy returned to Boston for the first time since he was relieved of his duties on June 6th. The Ottawa native spent eight seasons with the organization as a head coach in the AHL and NHL.
During a TV timeout, the Bruins honored Cassidy with a video tribute:
Cassidy was visibly emotional afterwards as he waived to the crowd, who were giving the former bench boss a standing ovation.
