Brad Marchand is making his much-anticipated return to the Boston Bruins lineup after undergoing offseason surgery on both of his hips this summer.
When it was discovered he was making his debut tonight, it came as a surprise to fans because his original expected timeline was mid to late November. However, this afternoon Marchand shared that was never the case, as they had this date circled on the calendar for a while now.
The star winger joined the media after the major announcement and shared what his expectations are for himself, and of course, he gave a classic Marchand answer:
''It's about making sure I'm not a liability out there and not getting in the guys' way; they're rolling and feeling good. The main thing is just keeping it simple, keeping shifts short and not trying to do too much or be too fancy.''
''Gonna have to chip a lot of pucks in, chip a lot of pucks out and stay out there for five or ten seconds at a time and get off (wink).''
