The Boston Bruins edged out the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 on Saturday afternoon to officially clinch a playoff spot.
Jeremy Swayman got his fourth start in eight games this month, as Linus Ullmark has been the Bruins' recent starter. Unfortunately, Ullmark was injured in Boston's loss to the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night.
The Bruins' goaltending tandem has built a strong bond through the friendly competition over the season. No more apparent than their post-game win celebration, a giant hug:
It's a tradition that shows how close the two have grown to each other and one that Bruins and hockey fans find quite wholesome.
Although Linus Ullmark was injured and did not dress for the game, he and Swayman still found time for the post-game win hug. Hopefully, Bruins fans will see many more of the hugs now that the club is officially heading to the playoffs.
