Now that Torts is officially a head coach again and back in the NHL, let's take a look back at one of his most famous moments.
John Tortorella was suspended for 15 days without pay back in January of 2014 when he was head coach of the the Vancouver Canucks.
The suspension was for an altercation in the hallway outside the Calgary Flames' dressing room during the first intermission.

The NHL released this statement afterwards:
'Mr. Tortorella's actions in attempting to enter the Calgary Flames locker room after the first period were both dangerous and an embarrassment to the League," said Colin Campbell, senior vice president of hockey operations, in a statement. "Coaches in the NHL bear the responsibility of providing leadership, even when emotions run high, and Mr. Tortorella failed in his responsibility to the game.''
