Tragic news struck a young hockey player, and injured three other players.

It was just announced that this past weekend the life of a young hockey player was taken, and three other hockey players are dealing with some serious injuries in Prince Edward Island.

A cottage fire is what took the life of Noah Latimer and injured his three other teammates/friends.

"Three people who escaped the fire were injured, one with serious injuries. Once the fire was extinguished by the fire departments, human remains of one person were discovered inside.

The scene was held by the RCMP and the investigation is ongoing."

The names of the people who were injured during the cottage fire have not been released by the police just yet, but it was confirmed that Noah Latimer did sadly pass away.

"Your Capstone Colts are absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of Noah Latimer. In Noah's short time with the Colts he made an immediate impact on the organization, being the ultimate teammate and even received playoff MVP award for the Colts. Our thoughts and prayers are with Noah's family, teammates and friends at this very difficult time. Latsy will be sincerely missed by so many and always remembered,"

"We are absolutely heartbroken to hear about the tragic accident involving 4 of our alumni this past weekend resulting in the loss of one of our own.

Noah Latimer played parts of 2 seasons with the Bearcats in 2021/22 and 2022/23.

Rest easy 22, forever in our hearts."

During this hard time our prayers and condolnces are with the family and friends of Noah Latimer. Rest in peace.
